Introducing Immersive Virtual Reality in the Initial Phases of the Design Process—Case Study: Freshmen Designing Ephemeral Architecture

Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR) has proven to be an important tool for the exploration and communication of architectural projects prior their real construction; however, there have been few scientific advances its use in understanding, exploration, definition space by architecture students initial design processes. The purpose this research is determine how IVR incorporated phases process improves, among students, achievement three specifics competencies, know evaluation that professors make advantages disadvantages process. A mixed methodology was applied, considering participatory observations surveys teachers concerning workshop on careers.
